Il 20 luglio 2019, durante il panel ''Star Trek Universe'' alla ''San Diego Comic Con'' è stato mostrato il primo trailer della serie. La data di trasmissione è confermata essere nel 2020 o non a fine 2019 come da alcuni ipotizzato. Le prime scene vedono Picard nella vigna di famiglia, come già anticipato, dove però si trova irrequieto e non veramente "a casa". Nel resto del trailer fanno la loro comparsa [[Jeri Lynn Ryan]] nei panni di [[Sette di Nove]], [[Brent Spiner]] nei panni di [[Data]] (fatto a pezzi, probabilmente recuperati dalla [[Scimitar]]) e forse anche come [[B4]] e [[Jonathan Del Arco]] come [[Hugh]].
