<b>Data Stellare Sconosciuta</b>: Appena prima della partenza per una conferenza che si tiene su [[Romulus (romulus)|Romulus]], Bashir riceve la visita di [[Luther Sloan|Sloan]], il direttore della [[Sezione 31|Sezione 31]], che chiede a Bashir di acquisire la maggior quantità di informazioni possibile sulla leadership del governo [[Romulani|romulano]].
 
Bashir, recalcitrante a soddisfare la richiesta di [[Luther Sloan|Sloan]], riferisce dell'accaduto a Sisko, preoccupato del fatto che, malgrado la [[:Category:Flotta Stellare|Flotta]] abbia ufficialmente condannato la [[Sezione 31|Sezione 31]],
 
ci sia ancora qualcuno che la protegga.
