Trusted Sources è un episodio della stagione 3 di Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Una giornalista della FNN sale a bordo della Cerritos per seguire la prima missione del "Progetto Ripassa di Qui". Scopo del progetto è verificare gli esiti dei primi contatti della Flotta Stellare nel lungo periodo. La prima missione si svolge su Ornara, a verifica di una situazione critica dal punto di vista medico e diplomatico verificatasi quasi due decenni prima.
Durante la missione ci sarà tempo anche per interviste a membri dell'equipaggio della nave.

  • Dopo 17 anni scopriamo l'esito della missione della Enterprise su Ornara. Veniamo a sapere che, seppur dopo un periodo di conflitti interni durati 14 anni, la società Ornarana si è sviluppata in pace e prosperità e che la decisione di Picard sia stata, in ultima analisi, quella più corretta.
  • Tornano i Breen dopo essere apparsi per l'ultima volta in What You Leave Behind - Part II

B'nir: No. Picard was absolutely right. It was the best thing that ever happened to us. Look. We even made a mural. See, there's the Enterprise leaving us with no drսg, and here's all of us freaking out. We were in a bit of a bad place for the first, oh, ten, 14 years, but we figured it out.

Buenamigo: Ah. Carol. How's the mission going?
Freeman: There is no mission. The Ornarans don't need us.
Buenamigo: That can't be right. Make them show you their government, just in case it's secretly run by kids or somebody pretending to be the devil…
Freeman: There's nothing funky here, Les. Picard knew what he was doing.
Buenamigo: Damn it. We need something or the entire program could be in jeopardy.
Freeman: We could go back to Beta III. There's a pretty good chance they've fallen for Landru again.

Mariner: Well, there's the family you're born into, right, and then the family you choose. I've got both here on the Cerritos. If you're measuring by heart, this is the strongest ship in the fleet. Because we've got the best captain at the helm, my mom.
Nuzé: But this sole voice of California-class exceptionalism was transferred off the ship just for talking to me. Is Freeman really the best captain or simply a cruel taskmaster? I'm Victoria Nuzé for FNN.
