The Bounty è un episodio della stagione 3 di Star Trek: Picard.

Worf e Raffaela Musiker si riuniscono con l'equipaggio della Titan portando ai colleghi il risultato delle loro indagini. Risulta chiaro che l'unico modo per chiarire i misteri che avvolgono gli eventi degli ultimi giorni è di recarsi sulla Stazione Daystrom, trovando anche il modo di scagionare Picard e Riker dall'accusa di tradimento.
La Stazione nasconderà sorprese, ma soprattutto grandi pericoli: sarà fondamentale l'aiuto di un vecchio amico.

  • Non è completamente chiaro per quale ragione Vadic uccida uno dei suoi sottoposti sulla Shrine, né perché elimini gli ufficiali alla sicurezza che erano certamente in combutta con lei.

    Okudagram della Stazione Probert
    In The Next Generation vediamo una nuova stazione spaziale orbitante intorno alla Terra, simile nell'aspetto all'Attracco spaziale terrestre, tuttavia una schermata[4] sullo shuttle di Picard e Riker la identifica come Stazione Probert. In The Bounty scopriremo che l'Attracco spaziale terrestre è stato spostato nell'orbita di Athan Prime per ospitare la sede del Museo della Flotta Stellare.
  • Sembra strano che ci siano state difficoltà a recuperare il Bounty dai fondali della baia di San Francisco (Star Trek IV) in quanto l'occultamento si è inserito durante l'affondamento: la nave è sott'acqua, non nel vuoto, ed il comportamento anomalo del fluido nei pressi del velivolo dovrebbe essere evidente, specie con la tecnologia di cui dispone la Federazione.
  • Dave Blass ha dichiarato[5] che questo episodio è un omaggio a Rick Sternbach: oltre a introdurre la USS Sternbach NCC-97942, mostra anche nel dettaglio il Dispositivo di occultamento che l'artista ha creato per il libro Klingon Bird of Prey Manual: IKS Rotarran e che è mostrato nei titoli di coda fin dall'inizio della stagione.
  • Non è possibile che tutto l'Archivio D'Arsay sia contenuto nella Stazione Daystrom: le sue dimensioni sarebbero esagerate. Forse la stazione contiente una copia dei suoi dati.

  • Avendo tenuto sotto controllo la Sindrome irumodica di Jean-Luc Picard per tutto il tempo in cui hanno servito sulla stessa nave, è veramente ai limiti della plausibilità che la dottoressa non abbia mai pensato di fare un test al figlio né che lui stesso, medico, sapendo della condizione del padre non si sia mai preoccupato.
  • Come in The Enterprise Incident è decisamente incredibile che un apparecchio come un Dispositivo di occultamento possa essere adattato, installato e usato su una astronave completamente diversa da quella per cui è stato progettato, per di più in pochi minuti. Risulta anche incredibile che un dispositivo così datato sia ancora in grado di offrire una protezione sufficiente contro sensori di un secolo più moderni: in Prophecy avevamo visto la Voyager rilevare senza difficoltà il movimento di una nave klingon di classe D-7 risalente ad un centinaio di anni prima.
  • Scopriamo che la Flotta Stellare intende radunare tutte le sue navi in un unico posto per i festeggiamenti. Anche senza le proteste di Geordi, questa dovrebbe risultare una idea stupida a ogni ufficiale, oltre che una cosa del tutto impratica da realizzare: non si è spesso detto che ci sono vascelli distanti molti mesi di viaggio, se non anni, dal cuore dello spazio federale?
